Time To Celebrate!! Can you BELIEVE that National Chocolate Chip Day is a REAL holiday on May 15th?!? What could be better than hosting a little soiree to celebrate chocolate chips? You won’t have to twist anyone’s arm to celebrate this fabulous holiday! Use the free printable invite included in this post and invite your husband to this sweet event, or make it a bigger event and invite a few fun friends.
I am loving Kristin at CdotLove Design. She did all the amazing printables for this post and they are cute as can be!! She can customize any design you dream up and make it look even better! The first thing you may think of when you hear chocolate chips is the always delicious Chocolate Chip Cookie. I am going to share with you an amazing dessert that is easier and {very possibly} tastier than the tried and true cookie. It’s individual chocolate s’more fondues and you will want to make them over and over again!
My friend Treisha introduced me to this dessert. Her husband invited our family over one Sunday evening for dessert. I was expecting brownies… maybe with a little ice cream and possibly some chocolate sauce if they had some in the fridge. When we arrived at their home, though, we were DAZZLED with the amazing mini s’more fondues and dipping treat spread they had. Treisha was pulling hot little ramakins out of the oven filled with decadent chocolate and topped with toasted marshmallows. There was a tower on the table that had a gorgeous display of strawberries, biscotti, cake, graham crackers, and other treats to dip into the fondue. Mmmm, I thought I was in heaven!
If you are looking for a very simple way to dazzle your husband or friends then this 3-ingredient recipe is it!! Individual S’more Fondues 1 cup chocolate chips 1 cup mini marshmallows, plus more for topping 2 Tablespoons cream Mix all the ingredients in a saucepan and gradually melt at a low temperature on the stove, stirring often. For best results use good chocolate chips. Once the ingredients are melted together, carefully pour them into 4 small Porcelain Ramekins. Top them with mini marshmallows. Put them onto a baking sheet and pop them into the oven under the broiler. Watch them carefully and when the marshmallows have turned golden brown remove and serve.
There are even fun free printable displays Kristin created that you can put up to help celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day. We just can’t get enough of this “Keep Calm and Eat Chocolate” poster. This could stay up full time, I think!
There are all sorts of dippers that you can use to serve with these. Fresh strawberries are my favorite, but bananas, cookies, graham crackers, cake, and biscotti are all delicious as well! Kristin made darling flags to use with the display and she even left some blank ones in case you had dippers that we didn’t think of.
I love that these are individual! When you are enjoying fondue with friends it tastes just that much better to have your own little dipping cup…especially if there are kids involved {wink!} Paige did a fun fondue date that looks absolutely delicious, too.
Celebrate away my friends!! If you have any amazing recipes that use chocolate chips I would love to hear about them in the comments below, because {like the invite says}, there is nothing better than a friend, unless it is a friend with chocolate.- Charles Dickens. Thanks Charles, couldn’t have said it any better myself!
