So often in the practice of mindfulness we tend to think it’s about doing a specific practice, while all the time our body knows it’s a lot about just being.
If you want to learn more about all that your body has to teach you about mindfulness and awareness, I highly recommend that you attend the Embodied Listening program given by David Rome and Hope Martin at Windhorse farm this weekend. David Rome is a certified Focusing trainer. Hope Martin has taught the Alexander Technique for 25 years in the United States and abroad. They have been collaborating and teaching together for ten years. Embodied Listening is about learning the subtleties of your own way of being in the world, your unique patterns that influence how you know things and how you act in the world. It’s about listening to something deeper than the words we speak, listening to the place that sense things deeply. But this isn’t theoretical. The Embodied Listening program is about how you practice mindfulness too. It’s a highly experiential weekend program where you’ll be shown the proper alignment in mindfulness practice for your body. It will foster an ease and balance, and help you experience a more embodied approach to practice. If you want an accelerated pathway to get more into your mind and your body, and how the two work as one, I can’t recommend this weekend highly enough. And all the more wonderful that it takes place at Windhorse Farm, in one of the most beautiful and healing spots in the province.
